Wow another exciting year has flown by already. The cubs section currently has 31 members in the pack with a 95% attendance rate every week.
This year the cub pack has gained two new helper coming through the rank in the name of Bethany D’Cruz and Olivia Hicks.
Over the past 12 months cubs have continued to develop their skills as well as being able to gain new skills. Cubs have also been working towards earning more badges by completing all the challenges set upon them.
In May 2011, 12 cubs attended the Group Camp in Phasels Wood where cubs took part in various high octane activities such as Zip Wire, Rifle Shooting, High Rope. Archery as well enjoying an evening Disco & Campfire.
In June 2011 12 cubs joined by 2 beavers attended a fun filled Water Activity weekend at Longdridge campsite.
In November 2011 18 Cubs took part in an great Winter Camp weekend at PGL Liddington. They completed some high energy activity like zip wire, climbing, Quad Bike, abseiling, Fencing as well as enjoying a great early Christmas feast at the Christmas party
As well as lots of camping trips, cubs also took part in an indoor games evening in November 2011, took part in the Remembrance Parade and a record 26 cubs joined Beavers and Scouts in lining the route to welcome the Queen to the Krishna See all camp pictures at Avanti school in Stanmore to celebrate the Diamond Jubilee.
In February 2012, 12 Cubs joined by 1 Beaver and 2 scouts enjoyed a white spring camp and completed a number of high octane activities as well as enjoying a cheeky little snow fight….
Phew ! So much activity in just a short space of a year, well look out because the New Year is here and its bigger and better with lots more fun activities to look forward to as well as an opportunity to earn more badges.
