Scouting is growing, especially true here in Harrow & Wealdstone

The Scout District, the people who support your local Scout Group is seeking someone with energy and enthusiasm to lead them in the role of District Commissioner. The District Commissioner is the volunteer manager who ensures all scout groups are supported so that the young people get the best quality scouting they can. 

So how can you help?

We are looking for someone who wants to make a difference in their local community, someone who has enthusiasm and enjoys working with adults. Do you know someone who has the ability to motivate others? Do you know someone who can help this Scout District grow so that more young people get the opportunity to have the adventure of Scouting? Are you interested in finding out more?

What’s in it for you?

You will know that you are making a difference to local Young People by ensuring the quality of their Scouting is high. You will be working with a team of adults to ensure events are safe and well planned. The skills that you will use as a District Commissioner, such as Leadership can enhance your CV and can be a great way to demonstrate that you have those skills to prospective employers.

Know nothing about Scouts? That’s no problem, we can teach you everything and we have a fantastic training scheme that can lead to a certified OCN qualification.
